Library Rules
- All library users must keep their bags, umbrella, personal books and other belongings in the shelf is placed outside the library.
- It is compulsory for all the library users to enter their name and other details in the library visitor’s register.
- Identity card and Library card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
- Library is a place for intellectual work, so it is important to be quiet and speak softly. Do not disturb others.
- Follow the directions and be respectful when speaking with the library staff.
- Avoid offensive, abusive, harassing, or noisy actions or language in the library.
- No one is allowed to eat, drink or have refreshments inside the library.
- You are not allowed to use cell phones, or other electronic devices while in the library, unless they are inaudible.
- Every student can get 2 books at a time for 15 days and if the books returned after due date, then student will be fined Rs.5/- per day per book.
- Teachers and staff can get 5 books at a time for 30 days and it may be renewed from time to time.
- Handle library books and other materials with care, and don't mark or write anything in books.
- You need to return library books and other documents in undamaged condition. If a book is lost or damaged, you have to replace it or pay a fee.
- The same book cannot be renewed on that day or returned on the day of issue for the student.
- The college librarian may ask any student to return the books at any time and it is compulsory to return the same immediately.
- No sleeping, napping, or lying down on the furniture or floor of the library.
- Smoking, pan or gutka chewing and spitting in the library or in the college campus is strictly prohibited.
- When a student or a college staff leaves the college permanently, she/he must return all the books without fail.
- Staff and students have to get library clearance certificate in order to proceed to the college office before getting their exit documents.
- No marksheets, certificates or documents will be issued without the Library Clearance Certificate.
- Users have to mark their presence signature at the Library User register.
- Readers are not allowed to carry their personal belongings (bags, personal books, parcel etc.) and any type of eatable items inside the library.
- Use of cell phone and smoking inside the library is strictly prohibited.
- Books and other materials taken from the stacks should not be re-shelved by the reader. Please call the library staff to avoid misfiling. Remember that a book misplaced is a book lost.
- Readers should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library material in any way. If anyone is found doing so, he/she will be charged with the full replacement cost of damaged material and may lend to suspension of library account.
- Loss of book must be reported immediately. If a book is lost, the user can submit a replacement copy or current cost of the book.
- Rare and reference books will not be issued.
- The Students / Faculty to whom it is issued will be held responsible the books taken out form the library in his name.
- During college Holidays, Vacations, examinations time all Library functions will remain closed.
