About The Department

The education department has been conducting an undergraduate general degree course since the beginning from the college from 2013. The department was granted permission to commence its Honours course from 2018 under the CBCS curriculum introduced by the University of North Bengal. Honours course in Education started from the 2018 Academic year with 30 students. Subsequently, the number of students has been rising steadily. The graduates of this discipline show a marked improvement in their All-round development of the personality. It glorifies the life of man and elevates of their personality in the society. Education is a discipline shows man the path for fulfilling the basic needs of their life. It makes the life good, sublime and beautiful. Education develops in man meekness and humbleness. The Department of Education is dedicated to providing a comprehensive understanding of educational theories and practices. It aims to prepare students for careers in teaching, educational research, and administration.

The Department of Education at Lilabati Mahavidyalaya envisions becoming a center of excellence in the field of education.
