Lilabati Mahavidyalaya

At Lilabati Mahavidyalaya, our core values emphasize environmental stewardship and holistic student development. We are deeply committed to fostering an eco-conscious campus and instilling environmental responsibility among our community members. Through various co-curricular activities, the college promotes awareness about cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene. Our campus features a verdant garden where medicinal saplings are carefully planted and nurtured. To further environmental consciousness, we distribute saplings to students and faculty, advocating for eco-friendly living and community greening. Our Green Campus program embodies our dedication to sustainability, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation. In line with our vision for holistic development, the college offers a diverse range of skill development and value-added courses, equipping students with the tools for economic self-sufficiency after graduation. Annual health testing and awareness camps reflect our commitment to promoting well-being and preventive healthcare for both students and staff. Addressing socio-economic disparities and gender discrimination, Lilabati Mahavidyalaya integrates sensitization initiatives into its educational framework. We advocate for gender equality and strive to provide equitable opportunities for all. Embracing sustainable practices, the college partially meets its power requirements through renewable energy sources, including solar panels. Our initiatives also include rainwater harvesting, sustainable waste management, and regular green audits. Safety is a top priority, with CCTV surveillance and a dedicated security team ensuring the well-being of students and staff. The Students Welfare Committee, supported by both teaching and non-teaching staff, coordinates various welfare activities, demonstrating our collective responsibility and community spirit. During the pandemic, the college extended support to vulnerable families by distributing essential food items. Our NSS Unit adopted a neighbouring village, leading initiatives to raise awareness on social and environmental issues. During the pandemic, this unit also distributed masks and sanitizers, emphasizing cleanliness and sanitation within the community. Guided by a strict code of conduct, the college maintains a disciplined environment, with management and specialized committees ensuring adherence to these guidelines. To nurture responsible and compassionate individuals, we organize professional ethics programs for both students and staff, reinforcing our commitment to societal welfare.
